PARTICIPATION
This year’s World Masters is expected to draw 1000 – 1500 competitors from more than 50 countries. In addition, 3000 – 4000 spectators are anticipated (for a total attendance of 4000 – 5500), along with vendors of judogis, judo bags, judo equipment, uniquely creative t-shirts, gifts and more. Volunteers are needed for a myriad of tasks including site registration, event setup, ticket sales and more. REGISTRATION
Registration for competitors, coaches, volunteers and the media is available through the World Masters Judo Association. You will also find a schedule of events and other important information regarding the championships on their web site. Please click on the logo below:

SPONSORS
The World MasterAthlete Championships provides an incredible opportunity to reach athletes and spectators in the most widely practiced martial art in the world. Judo is the second most popular participation sport, and physical attendance at the event is expected to be 4000 – 5500. In addition to on-site exposure (see Sponsorship Opportunities) broad reach media is planned to gain maximum exposure for sponsors, including:

• An official web site (www.atlantajudomidtown.com/worldchampionships) that will continually run sponsors banners, and will have link prominence on 35 major judo sites around the world, providing for national and international exposure to over 100,000 people.
  
  
• Streaming video web broadcast is planned for worldwide viewing of the event. This will assure worldwide broadcast of all on-site promotional activities planned (see Sponsorship Opportunities).
  
  
• Broadcast emails to all major judo associations throughout the world, including sponsor logos offering click through to corporate web sites.

VENDORS
A large area at the entrance of the event site is reserved for vendors, and traffic is guaranteed as all spectators and athletes must walk through the vendor area to enter the tournament arena. All booth areas will be 16’ x 20’ and will be islands, allowing access from all 4 sides. Selected details include:

• $300US fee per day, up to a maximum of $1000US for the 5 day event. Premium locations will be provided to vendors in the $1000US sponsorship category. See Sponsorship Opportunities for additional available exposure.
  
  
• Two 6 foot tables and 2 chairs will be provided. Additional tables are available at $60US per table, useable as long as booth is set up (no per day fee).

VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers are an integral part of the World Masters Tournament, and many are needed to keep the event running smoothly. This is a chance to give back to judo, if you are a judoka, or to learn more about this fascinating sport if you know little about judo. Training will be provided and no previous experience is required.

Volunteers are needed from Tuesday, August 18 – Sunday, August 23rd in a variety of areas: table workers, pool sheet runners, mat cleaners and general helpers among others. Plus you’ll get to watch some amazing players from around the world.
